Construction Site Management Criteria

Maintenance worksites are essential to ensure traveler safety. In addition to allowing for the renewal of the infrastructure's lifecycle, they also improve its original safety levels. Work is carried out according to the following management standards, except in unforeseeable emergency situations: Furthermore, additional signage will be installed at worksites to provide users with more information about the work in progress.

To improve traffic flow and achieve these important results, SAT is committed to the following:

  • planning primarily during periods with lower traffic;
  • designing and scheduling worksites aimed at minimizing roadway occupancy;
  • removing worksites, except for immovable ones, during periods and along traffic routes affected by large-scale traffic (e.g., summer exodus, Christmas holidays, long weekends, etc.);
  • suspending worksites during heavy traffic, consistent with ongoing activities; For construction sites expected to have a significant impact on traffic, alternative traffic management measures (e.g., additional lanes in case of traffic jams) and traffic management plans will be defined in consultation with the Traffic Police, as well as a dedicated communications plan, possibly shared with the local authorities involved.

Furthermore, additional signage will be installed at construction sites to provide users with more information about the work in progress.
